Solvent purification is as easy as boiling water in non-flammable solvent systems (Freons, CFC, HCFCs, 111, etc.). The drawback is the high cost of these solvents, and/or their ozone depletion potential. A Spec Sciences, Inc. purification system can remove particulates,  dissolved solids and ionic contaminants from many solvent systems, particularly alcohol and acetone, where in-situ distillation is not a safe option.
